30 Days of Gratitude – Day 3:
Express gratitude to a musician in your church or community.
Victor Hugo said, “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.” And Brenda Strohbehn (that’s me!) added: “And that’s why musicians practice diligently!” They touch our hearts and minds through the beauty of the tune or the truth of its lyrics. They lead us in a form of participatory worship. They calm us. They excite us. They use their skills, talents, abilities, and training to make a difference in our lives. And for that they deserve our thanks.
Take time to e-mail, send a card to, or buy a gift for the musician you chose to thank today.
“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs” (Psalm 100:2, NIV).
